Door thresholds: drainage and PMR compliance

 

JK Technic door thresholds are designed to ensure optimal drainage, channelling water towards the gutter while delivering a neat finish. 

Available in metal grating, FRP or profile grating, they suit all types of application. 

The mesh openings of steel and FRP gratings, as well as the perforations of profile gratings, are PMR-compliant, ensuring safe accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

1. FRP grating: a high-performance technical solution

FRP grating door thresholds offer numerous technical advantages: 

• Possible fire classification M1 / F1 
• Easy to cut and adapt on site 
• Load-bearing in both directions 
• Excellent corrosion resistance, weatherproof and UV-resistant 
• Very good chemical resistance 
• No electrical conductivity 
• Low thermal conductivity

- Ready-to-install solution – patented PMR door threshold: 
This ready-to-install system incorporates an angle that allows adaptation to all configurations. The grating surface is partially solid to prevent light from passing through when the shutter is closed.
Available colour: Grey RAL 7035.

Comprising a grating panel, a bevelled angle and height-adjustable feet, this solution offers the same performance as the patented threshold, with a wider choice of colours:

2. Steel grating: robustness and durability

Press locked steel gratings with 19x19 mesh can be fitted with a welded galvanized steel angle on one of the long sides. 

They provide a robust solution for areas subject to significant mechanical stress while ensuring effective water drainage.

3. Profile grating: safety and drainage

The PS-PMR profile grating, compliant with PMR accessibility standards, is perfectly suited for use as a door threshold.
Its 8 mm diameter perforations allow water to pass through while ensuring safe passage for people with reduced mobility.

To meet the same requirements as the FRP door threshold (in particular the absence of light transmission), JK Technic has developed a profile grating with an integrated galvanized steel angle.

Water drainage and moisture management

Depending on the material and model chosen, JK Technic gratings provide varying levels of water drainage and waterproofing capability.
Our solutions are suited to wet areas, outdoor structures and environments subject to specific climatic or technical constraints.
