Polyester

Polyester / FRP grating is made from glass-fibre reinforced resin. This GRP grating consists of 65% resin for chemical and UV resistance, and 35% fibreglass providing high mechanical strength. 
 

This composite material offers excellent durability in aggressive environments requiring increased resistance to corrosion and moisture. 
 

Suited to industrial, chemical and public environments, FRP grating is easy to cut on site. 
 

Load-bearing in both directions, this FRP grating is lighter than steel and stainless steel gratings, and can be fully submerged in saltwater. 
 

JK Technic offers 3 types of resin to meet different levels of chemical resistance. 
 

• - Isophthalic resin:
  • o Properties: fire, corrosion and broad chemical resistance.
  • o Available colours: grey RAL 7035, green RAL 6010, anthracite RAL 7012 and beige RAL 1001.
• - Vinyl ester resin:
  • o Properties: resistant to the most demanding chemical environments.
  • o Available colour: orange RAL 2002
• - Orthophthalic resin, resistant to a wide range of chemicals (available on request / made to order only)
